The 15,000-page proof, spread over more than 500 articles by about 100 mathematicians, is now checked by Lean's kernel end to end; AxiomProver's agents, run on a changing mix of models under human direction, decomposed, searched, wrote and reviewed the proof, and found that a 1986 argument in the Unbalanced Group Theorem assumed an operation stayed inside a family of groups when it could leave it, which the team closed with a new argument. The repository and an errata list are public.
why it mattersFormal verification at the scale of an entire field is now a job for agent swarms, and the gaps they found in published mathematics are the case for running the same machinery over the proofs and protocols you depend on.

Genie 4 generates interactive scenes in real time with ambient sound, music and dialogue, is steered in natural language with Gemini models keeping the world coherent, and watermarks all output with SynthID. It is open to trusted testers now, is coming to Google AI Ultra subscribers in Project Genie and to early-access partners of the Gemini API and AI Studio, and DeepMind lists visual drift and loss of object permanence over long sessions as known limits.
why it mattersGenerated interactive environments are reaching the API, so if you build games, simulations or training data for agents and robots, plan on generating test worlds rather than authoring them.

Between the model's launch on 27 August and 9 September, prompts longer than the 681,280-token prefill cache pool were rejected but not retired, so decode nodes attended over stale cache pages from earlier requests and returned them with HTTP 200; a Knostic researcher reported it through HackerOne, Cloudflare found no evidence of deliberate exploitation, the fixes are upstream in SGLang v0.5.22, and the disclosure was published on Monday.
why it mattersIf you serve models with SGLang in disaggregated prefill/decode mode, upgrade to v0.5.22 and check that the KV pool is at least as large as the context window.
