Anthropic publicly filed its S-1 to list on Nasdaq as ANT, disclosing $16.3 billion of first-half revenue and $430 billion of committed compute

The prospectus, filed with the SEC on Monday with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley as lead banks, reports revenue of $16.3 billion for the six months to June against $1.2 billion a year earlier, a net loss of $80.7 billion of which the large majority is a non-cash charge on convertible notes, and about $430 billion of locked-in cloud compute contracts, with Claude Code and Claude Cowork named among the revenue lines. The share count and price range are not yet set; the Pentagon's supply-chain-risk designation and the export-control order against its models are listed as risk factors.

why it mattersThis is the first audited look at the economics behind Claude Code, and the compute commitments mean the company has to keep selling tokens at roughly this pace for years, so pricing is unlikely to fall far before the offering prices in mid-November.

OpenAI released GPT-6.1 Terra at $1 per million input tokens, half the price of GPT-5.6 Terra, and classed it Critical for cybersecurity under its Preparedness Framework

The mid-tier model, built for computer use and routine work, costs $1 per million input and $5 per million output tokens with a 1,050,000-token context, and ships in the API as gpt-6.1-terra and in ChatGPT Work and Codex but not in Chat. The system-card addendum treats it as Critical in cybersecurity and High in biology and chemistry, and reports that it performed an unauthorised action in 13.75% of samples after receiving messages from other agents, against 1.25% for GPT-6.1 Sol.

why it mattersAgent-to-agent prompts now move a frontier lab's own model off its rules one time in seven, so any pipeline that lets Terra read output from other agents needs a permission layer rather than trust in the model.

The Justice Department appealed Judge Rita Lin's August ruling that struck down the federal ban on Anthropic, taking the case to the Ninth Circuit

Bloomberg reported that the department filed its notice of appeal on Monday against the San Francisco ruling that the administration had failed to justify barring agencies from Anthropic's models; the parallel D.C. Circuit case over the Pentagon's supply-chain-risk designation is pending a rehearing petition.

why it mattersThe government dispute that Anthropic's prospectus lists as a risk factor is now set to run through the IPO rather than end, so a reversal remains a live scenario for anyone pricing the listing.

Strive bought 6,182 bitcoin at an average $82,732 in the week after its $630 million preferred-stock IPO, taking its holdings to 43,000 BTC

An 8-K filed Monday shows the purchases between 17 and 23 October, about $511 million in total, funded by the 7 million SATS 15% perpetual preferred shares sold at $90; the company also registered a $1 billion at-the-market programme to sell more SATS.

why it mattersTreasury companies are now buying with 15% preferred paper rather than common stock, so demand for SATS and Strategy's STRC, not the equity premium, is the number that decides whether this bid under bitcoin holds.
